Bio 101 - Introductory Topics in Biology for Collaborators

BIO 101 is a series of introductory lectures to help researchers in engineering and the physical sciences develop a deeper understanding of key subjects in biology. These lectures are specifically developed to assist faculty and Ph.D. students who may have had little formal education in biology, but are now involved or interested in collaborative research projects related to medicine and the life sciences.

Each session is two hours, with the last hour devoting to networking and making contacts for research. The series focuses on basic biological topics and on systems issues, disease problems, etc.

This lecture series, which will resume in Fall 2010, is organized by Dr. Alan Hudson, Department of Immunology and Microbiology, and Dr. Chuck Manke, Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, with support from the WSU Office of the Vice President for Research.
